SuperSet Studio 1.5.0: choose where every sound lands
SuperSet Studio 1.5.0 is out. The headline is simple: you decide where your sounds go.
Choose the bank and the slot
When you add a Program or Combination, SuperSet Studio now asks where it should sit on the instrument. Slots that already hold something show what is in them by name, so you are choosing between real sounds rather than numbers — and if you pick an occupied slot, you are told exactly what would be replaced before anything happens.
Sounds that are in no Set List
The Programs and Combinations pages used to be lists you could only look at, which meant a Program that no Set List happened to reference could not be reached at all. Now you can select sounds — several at once — and add them. And a sound does not have to go into a Set List: leave “Also add to Set List” unticked and it reaches the instrument without spending one of your 128 Set List slots.
Whole Set Lists, and what everything costs
Duplicate a Set List in one click — every sound, its name, colour and comment — which is the quick way to build a variant of a set that already works. Deleting one is possible for the first time, and undo brings the whole thing back. You can copy sounds from one list into another.
The Programs and Combinations pages now show the real sample size of every sound, so you can tell what will fit before you build. A Combination reports what its timbres need together, counting a shared Multisample once.
Fixed
- The size shown for a Program was the size of its settings, not its samples.
- Banks your keyboard cannot reach from a Set List are no longer offered as destinations.
- “Your licence is not yet valid” now says what it actually means: the computer’s clock is behind.
Updating
Open SuperSet Studio and you will be offered the update; accept it and it installs and restarts by itself. If you are on 1.4.4 or older you need to update by hand this one time — download the installer from your account page and run it. Your licence and your saved sets are untouched.
Your existing sets are unaffected. Everything new here is something you opt into: leave it alone and your sets are built exactly as before.
