Known technical limitations

SuperSet Studio works with proprietary, undocumented Korg formats. The limits below are inherent to those formats — the app detects affected sounds where possible and warns you before export. They are part of the licence terms.

Beyond those, this is best-effort software for a mechanism Korg has never documented. We have tested it extensively against real sets and real instruments, but corner cases will exist that we have not seen. If you meet one, send us the report log — we never need your samples — and we fix what we can in the next update. What that means in practice

Cross-platform sounds: a small class of Kronos sounds needs a one-time preparation step on the instrument before it can travel to a Nautilus. SuperSet Studio detects these sounds automatically and walks you through it — nothing is exported that would not play.
EXi engine sounds (CX‑3, AL‑1, MOD‑7 and similar): their internal sample links cannot be extracted, so these sounds may not transfer or may not sound correct.
Purchased / third‑party EXs expansion libraries: sounds built on them transfer only if the same libraries are installed and authorised on the target instrument. SuperSet Studio never copies expansion content.
Song (sequencer) data referenced by Set List slots does not transfer with a sound set.
Exact sonic identity across different instrument models, hardware revisions and OS versions is not guaranteed.
